Bajaj Discover is a successful series of bikes from the house of Bajaj Auto Limited, who is the second largest producer of motorcycles in India. Bajaj launched the Discover in the year 2004 when the Indian motorcycle market was badly awaiting for a new façade in the commuter segment. The Discover was that new face and it instantly made its way to become a national bestseller.

The Bajaj Discover 100 was launched in 2009 and it soon went on to become one of the top selling bikes in the segment and in the country. Bajaj Discover 100 was the first of the Bajaj bikes to feature the improved version 2.0 of the DTS-Si engine. The Discover 100 is also one of the few bikes to have a five-speed gearbox in its segment. Even after so many years since its debut, Discover 100 cc bikes are still running quite popular here.

Bajaj Discover 100 has striking resemblance to its 125 cc bikes in appearance. The alloy wheels, elevated exhaust and color graphics all lend a stylish look to the bike. The rider as well as the pillion seat is pretty much comfortable with an upright riding position and raised handle bar.

Bajaj Discover 100 is powered by a single cylinder, 4 stroke, air cooled 94.38 cc engine that puts out a maximum power of 7.7 bhp at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 7.85 Nm at 5000 rpm. This engine is tuned to produce a healthy mileage of 91 kilometers per liter. The recent refreshed versions available in the market are the Discover 100 T and Discover 100 M in this category. The Discover 100 T bikes have a 102 cc engine with DTS-I engine which produces 10.1 bhp of power at 9000 rpm and a peak torque value of 9.2 Nm at 6500 rpm. Only the Discover 100 M is powered by a carburettor engine coupled with an auto-choke.

The significant features worth mentioning are its wet multi plate clutch, four or five speed gearbox, 8 liter fuel tank, twin pilot lamps, LED tail lamps, telescopic suspension to the front and nitrox gas filled shock absorbers to the rear and maintenance free battery. The stopping power is managed effectively by 130 mm and 110 mm drum brakes on the front and rear respectively. The light handling is sure to delight riders of all age groups.

The basic 100 cc model comes in Midnight Black & Blue, Midnight Black & Red, Black Green and Flame Red colors and its ex-showroom price is Rs 44000. Discover 100 M ranges from Rs 45000-Rs 49000 whereas the price of Discover 100 T bikes starts at Rs 47000.
